Privacy Policy

We built unitora to be private by default. Most tools never touch our servers. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect.

Last updated: July 2025

TL;DR

Most tools run in your browser — nothing is sent to us. If you create an account, we store your email and saved preferences. We use Google Analytics (anonymised) and Google AdSense. We don't sell your data. Ever.

What we collect

unitora is built around a simple principle: your data stays with you. The majority of our tools — timezone coordination, unit conversion, currency lookup — run entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.

When you create an account, we store your email address and the preferences you explicitly save (like your saved cities or digest settings). That's it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which tools people find useful. This collects anonymised usage data — page views, session duration, general location (country level). No personally identifiable information is tied to analytics.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser extension or enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings.

Advertising

unitora is free to use and supported by Google AdSense ads. Google may use cookies to show relevant ads based on your browsing history. We do not control which ads appear or what data Google collects for ad personalisation.

You can manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.

Newsletter & digest

If you subscribe to our newsletter or weekly digest, we store your email address with MailerLite to send those emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.

Cookies

We use minimal first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Third-party cookies may be set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Some features (like staying signed in) require cookies to work.

Data storage & security

Account data is stored securely via Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use HTTPS everywhere and follow standard security practices.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes all stored data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us or delete your account directly from Settings.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.
